Hazleton Public Transit (HPT), a service of the City of Hazleton's Department of Public Services, operates nine routes in the City of Hazleton and surrounding townships and boroughs Monday through Friday, with limited service on Saturdays and Sundays. Seniors Senior citizens age 65 and older ride HPT free during off-peak hours (Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.; and all day Saturday and Sunday). Children under 6 years of age ride free when accompanied by a paying adult. Frequent Rider Frequent Rider 10- and 20-trip tickets are available.
