Hazleton Public Transit (HPT), a service of the City of Hazleton's Department of Public Services, operates nine routes in the City of Hazleton and surrounding townships and boroughs Monday through Friday, with limited service on Saturdays and Sundays.

Seniors
Senior citizens age 65 and older ride HPT free all day, every day! Children under 6 years of age ride free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Be at the bus stop 5 minutes early
Have the exact fare ready
Deposit your own fare as you enter the bus
Please pull the buzzer cord one-half block before your stop
Please: No smoking on the bus
Please remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop 

NOTICE TO DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES
The City of Hazleton - Hazleton Public Transit (HPT) hereby announces its fiscal year 2009 goals for transit system procurements of 1.0% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (including Women Business Enterprises) in federally funded contracts. The goals, including a description of the transit systems DBE program, are available for review and comment at the HPT Operations Center, 40 N. Church St., Hazleton, PA 18201, Monday through Friday 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.

A 30-Day inspection period shall commence upon publication of this notice. A 45 -Day comment period shall also be in effect upon publication of this notice.

Blue Line service (Routes 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60) is operated by Motor Transportation Co., Inc. under contract for HPT. Motor Transportation can be contacted at 570.455.1221.

Green Line service (Routes 10, 70, 80, 90, and 100) is operated by Quinn's Transit under contract for HPT. Quinn's can be reached at 570.455.3861.
