The City of Hazleton's Engineering Department is responsible for the maintenance of 120 miles of road, 180 miles of sewer lines, 15,000 traffic control signs and 26 signalized intersections. In addition, Engineering also issues excavation permits and approves sewer line tap-ons for residents.
