Rental Property Registration, and Registration of Institutional Facilities and Daycare Facilities

Residential rental units, institutional facilities, and daycare facilities within the City of Hazleton are required to be registered with the City's Code Enforcement Office within 30 days of becoming the owner of the property. Application and renewal shall be made upon forms furnished by the Code Enforcement Office. One application per property is required and each property will receive its own license. If the Owner of the property does not reside in the City of Hazleton or within a 10-mile air radius of the city limits, the owner must appoint an agent, and said agent must reside within a 10-mile air radius of the city limits.
