Handicapped Parking Fee Increase

ORDINANCE 2012-6

Amending Ordinance 2006-25 to Increase the Application Fee for
Handicapped Parking Signs in the City of Hazleton

WHEREAS, in order to cover the cost of installation and labor involving the erection of handicapped parking signs, the City of Hazleton desires to increase the application fee for handicapped parking signs from forty ($40.00) dollars to eighty ($80.00) dollars; and

WHEREAS, it is also desired that the term “application fee” be amended to read “application and installation fee” throughout Ordinance 2006-25 and any of its amendments, where applicable.

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED that Ordinance 2006-25 entitled “An Ordinance Regulating the Issuance of Handicapped Parking Spaces and Signs, Providing for Application Review and Procedures for Issuance of Handicapped Parking Spaces and Signs, and Renewal of Handicapped Parking Spaces and Signs in the City of Hazleton” is hereby amended to reflect an increase in the application and installation fee from forty ($40.00) dollars to eighty ($80.00) dollars.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED that the term “application fee” is amended to read “application and installation fee” throughout the Ordinance and its amendments.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED that any Ordinance or part of an Ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance shall be and the same is hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ENACTED that this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage and approved in the manner prescribed by law.
